Welcome; @Clive Handforth and @Hit that Poppy Sploppy, to Anarchy at the All-Star Arcade! As you've read in #rules, it's now time to decide your characters and your personal objectives together. The character theme for this Objective game is video game characters, or characters that come from a video game. Every character theme tends to have a grey area where the character's applicability is hazy - when it comes to these sorts of cases, Superb and I will give judgment on whether it's a valid character or not. Your objectives have to be similar to each other - the intended meaning of this is 'have your objectives tie into each other in some way', but if you want your two objectives to just be coincidentally similar - go ahead! Get creative! Be allies, be enemies, be rivals - you don't necessarily have to work together. Once you've decided, ping either one of us [@Hornet , @Scorpion] with your choices. Remember - we will design the game around your picks. Whatever you pick as an objective, we'll make it possible - and whoever you pick as a character, we'll design stuff for that character. You're going to have until 6PM EDT, July 4th to talk this out and decide what you'll be picking. Feel free to ask us any questions in these channels, if you want to. In case you're having trouble figuring out where to start, you could answer these questions out loud, see if you can get a discussion going on things you both like: 1. What are some of your favourite video game characters? 2. What are some of the games with your favourite music?

our characters don't really have to be related at all

you can just choose someone you think would be fun to roleplay

it would probably be nice to think of some characters that would have an interesting dynamic

they started doing mafia games in 2018 or so and I joined around then

from ttgd team from a mutual member or two

and ahmaykmewsik was a prominent host for mafia games and he experimented a lot with storytelling mechanics

and eventually at the start of 2020 he came up with untitled mystery game which was essentially a mafia offshoot based on a gmod murderer setting

which had the base mechanics for this

eventually the murderer setup was ditched in favor of player set objectives

and that's where this got its start

well that was the very first one

the game was KFAD game so everyone had to be a KFAD character

my character was naxx guyfieri cause I voice him on siiva but, like, I didn't actually make a costume for that, I just posted a pic with me in a maid outfit and a knife

because me in a maid outfit was already an inside joke

with the caption "when pop is the murderer"

and later in the game I got a hylian shield item so I grabbed an old shield I made as a kid and was like "when pop has a hylian shield"

it was only in the 2nd game, mario party, where I actually made a kamek costume for my character

during the 20-minute inbetween time during a rollover cause I got bored

because originally they're just, like, an entity

that's the fun in these games - people can play characters that are completely incomprehensible originally

or just like silent with no visible character

and just turn them into personable players
